Fire Boxers is a small home kennel located in El Paso, Texas. First and foremost our dogs are members of the family, then show dogs second. Collectively we have both been "owned" by Boxers for well over twenty years and have been breeding and showing for almost ten. We are members of the Oņate Trail Dog Fanciers Association and the Boxer Club of Arizona.
In addition to our "hard knocks" we have been very fortunate to have been helped along the way by some GREAT Boxer friends such as Monika Pinsker, Don Gordon, Becky Adkins, Brenda Jordan, Tammie Hopper, Kathy Cognata, Anthony Bertolino, Wendy Adams and Brenda Stuckey, to name a few. Along with this we have been fortunate to have been trained by some lovely Boxers in the process.
Mike got his start in Boxers shortly after his mother Alleene passed away. His brother Joe brought home a Boxer pup named Betty to help "ease the pain" of the loss. Needless to say he has always been with Boxers from that day forward.
Daphne's start in Boxers is very similar to that of her husband, Mike. She had always had dogs, but when a wonderful black brindle pup was added to her family, soon after her nephew Christopher passed suddenly, it proved to be a sign. She always thought Chris was a special angel and after his passing, named the puppy "Angel" so there would be another angel by her side. To this day, that is why she has continued on with this breed...so there will always be "angels" by her side.
The love of Boxers is one of the reasons that brought Mike, Daphne and their son Sean together to form Fire Boxers. One might say this wasn't a marriage made in just heaven, but BOXER heaven
